Entitled “Over the Rainbow,” Mira Zwillinger's spring 2018 collection was full of fairy tale-like whimsy, with diaphanous fabrics and floral accents dominating the runway. Each dress in the 30-piece line spoke to the bride that's a true romantic at heart. Delicate silk, tulle and chiffon were layered over wait-cinching bodices and topped with sequins, Swarovski crystals and feathers. But the real stars of the show were the super-delicate hand-cut floral appliques that adorned flutter sleeves, ballgown skirts, bodices and were sprinkled around hemlines.
While 3D embellishments were spotted on almost every look, the silhouettes throughout the collection varied from sheer and slinky fit-and-flare styles to dramatic ballgowns and A-line skirts. For a more adventurous bride who wants to show off her figure, a fitted sheath dress with a sheer bodice and delicately placed beading and feathers is sure to please.
