Marriage in Hollywood is like the economy these days—totally unstable. It’s unfortunate that all we hear about tinseltown relationships is infidelity and divorce. The recent news about Madonna and soon-to-be ex-hubby, director Guy Ritchie, splitting up after eight years of marriage (practically a lifetime in Hollywood years), makes you think celebs should marry “regular” people (I’m talking to you Leo), unless you’re Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. The rest of Hollywood should take a cue from the famous pair who made it work for over 50 years!
The Material Mom is in Toronto right now for her “Sticky & Sweet” tour. Both Alison and Jenn are the lucky ones in the office to have tickets to her concert tomorrow. While it’s too late for me to get in on the sold-out show, instead I’ll be chatting to her facialist Michelle Peck, who travels alongside the artist, to get some tips on how you can get flawless, too. I’ll also be getting the same oxygen facial treatment she receives, at the Bay Dermatology Centre Saturday afternoon, so fingers crossed I’ll come out looking at least as half as fresh as she does in preparation for Fashion Week.
L’Oréal Fashion Week opens Monday with Alfred Sung’s highly anticipated bridal presentation, and Alison and I will there (along with 10 lucky contest winners!). I’ll be backstage chatting with the Canadian designer, as well as the makeup and hair team, so check back for the scoop, as well as videos from the show.
