Who would have guessed that Leandra Medine, author of the popular fashion blog The Man Repeller, had the desire to tie the knot (or even had marriage on her mind!)? Infamous for her original sense of style, cool fashion philosophy, and coining of the term "arm party," Medine gravitates towards fashion-forward trends and steers clear of form-fitting or revealing clothing preferred by her male counterparts. However, it appears that Medine's unique sense of style doesn't fend off all men, as she and fiancé Abe Cohen hosted a secretive wedding at New York's St. Regis Hotel in early July. Staying true to her roots, Medine desired to throw a Man Repeller wedding in its entirety- right down the table decor. Swaying from traditional wedding garb, Medine donned an off-the-rack Marchesa gown (a longer version of the frock Miranda Kerr wore to the Met Gala last year) which she paired with some of her most-loved trends and statement pieces. She opted for a layered look, accenting her flouncy wedding dress with a white satin moto jacket by friend and designer Rebecca Minkoff and an arm full of her signature chunky bracelets and cuffs. This Man Repeller wedding adopted a Midnight in Paris theme with romantic purple velvet gilded décor and elegant oversized chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Bridesmaids were given permission to wear any dress of their choosing, as long as their ensembles incorporated mint green, light pink or soft yellow. The blushing bride and bridemaids also sported flower crowns, further adding to the chic, Parisian vibe. Are you interested in hosting a Man Repeller wedding of your own?
