Maggie Sottero Spring 2014 Wedding Dresses
There was definitely a vintage vibe to the Maggie Sottero Spring 2014 collection. Many of the silken slip dresses, with beaded cap sleeves and illusion necklines, were reminiscent of Downton Abbey's Lady Mary. We especially loved the creamy silk gown topped with an embellished capelet, this glamorous style manages to look thoroughly modern while giving a nod to the past. Mind you, not all the gowns were slinky and form-fitting---larger-than-life ballgowns were also part of the lineup for spring. One ballgown in particular, a voluminous creation with black lace details, was a true show-stopper for the bride who craves drama! Black wasn't the only colour to show up in the collection either, hints of baby blue made an appearance on an elegant embroidered lace fit-and-flare gown.
