While we eagerly anticipate the news of who will design Kate Middleton's wedding dress, we decided to ask some of our favourite Canadian bridal designers what they would love to see Kate wear down the aisle. Here they share their visions:

"Kate Middleton's taste is classic and sophisticated and her gown will reflect her personal style. I see her in a beautiful point d'esprit lace gown accented with a cathedral-length train, a blusher veil and a three-quarter length sleeve shrug. She will exemplify a vision of timeless elegance and grace."~Romona Keveza

"A royal wedding will be exciting! I would dress Kate in a gown that would show off her fabulous figure; fitted through the waist and hips. I could see her in a delicate chantilly lace tightly ruched on the bodice then flowing into a soft, romantic organza skirt. I would add dainty lace cap sleeves with a high collar at the back to give a regal look and then hand bead the lace with tiny freshwater pearls and Swarovski crystals. Of course, she would need a cathedral veil trimmed with the matching lace and beadwork." ~Lea-Ann Belter

"Who wouldn't want to create a gown for a modern-day fairy tale? She is a truly modern princess bride, GORGEOUS, STYLISH and COMPOSED.  She needs a gown that is stunning in its simplicity, so her beauty is not overwhelmed by swathes of abundance, yet grand enough to carry the event. She has to make a statement about who she is as an individual, that she cares about the environment. She will need an ECO COUTURE GOWN!" ~Adele Wechsler

"I would dress Kate Middleton in something classic with a modern twist, complementing her fashionable style and also working in the traditions of royalty. I see her wearing lace that has fullness at the hem but a bit more definition in the body. The modern elements would be a combination of silhouette and a play on textures." ~Rita Vinieris, Rivini
