From slinky sheaths to sparkling accents, British designer Jenny Packham incorporated all of her signature design elements to her latest bridal collection inspired by Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Flowing column gowns and A-lines in lace and silk chiffon evoked an effortless cascading effect — giving Packham’s spring line a feather-light appearance — while dresses donning shorter hemlines offered a more youthful tone and perfectly reflected the line’s enchanted forest vision. Pastel and neutral tones also spoke to the spring season with gowns in champagne, muted grey and blue hues appearing throughout the collection. While billowing fabrics created a bohemian feel, the standout features within this Spring 2016 collection were the embellishments. Glittering and dramatic, many of the collections looks boasted lavish metallic accents, ornate pearls and Swarovski crystal detailing. Gleaming silver sequins and accents gave gowns a liquescent appearance, which paired exquisitely with the line’s overall glamourous feel. Softer accents also appeared throughout the collection, ranging from organza flowers to delicate feathers. The latter even featured prominently on an alluring champagne off-the-shoulder A-line gown, which saw soft ostrich feathers bundled along the waist with a iridescent crystal belt for a whimsical yet decadent look.
