For her Bridal Fashion Week premiere, Atlanta-based designer Jessica Brown combined current trends with soft romantic touches and whimsical bohemian designs. Entitled “Wed to Wanderlust,” Brown’s Fall 2015 line spoke to the free-spirited aesthetic of the collection, which boasted a selection of 25 stunningly unique designs. Inspired by travel and versatility, Brown introduced an array of dresses fashioned from silk chiffon, tulle, organza and lace, which gave gowns a decidedly light and airy finish. The collection’s exploration of textures and lush fabrics also impressed, with designs ranging from hammered silk chiffon and lace to striped organza. Several looks showcased this playful treatment of fabrics and texture, including a striking hammered chiffon off-the-shoulder, wide-leg jumpsuit and a voluminous organza skirt paired with a daring lace skull cut-out cardigan.
Handcrafted accents also made an appearance throughout the collection, which saw models donning rustic headpieces dotted with acorns, and gowns adorned with intricate knits and yarn embroidery for a charming boho-chic feel. Silhouettes — both classic and modern — were aplenty, featuring full skirts, romantic ruffles, sleek sheaths and flirtatious short frocks. The collection’s colour palette was equally diverse, with gowns unveiled in off-white, ivory and blush tones. An assortment of social dresses completed this fresh and playful line, displaying sleek, ultra-feminine designs in gorgeous deep hues of turquoise, navy, grey and olive for a perfect autumnal touch.
