It Had to Be Wu

  |   By Nicole Keen

Jason Wu, Spring 2009

I have a wee obsession with expensive imported magazines, and some of my favourites happen to come from the land down under. Australia produces one of my best-loved wedding magazines—besides Weddingbells, of course—Wedding Style Guide.

It Had to Be Wu

And in an amazing turn of events, you can now purchase back issues in digital form! Another great read? Australian Vogue. I was just perusing the latest issue when I came across an interesting article about Jason Wu, clothing designer and fashion darling.

Jason Wu, Pre-Spring 2009

You may recall that Wu’s big moment arrived when he designed Michelle Obama’s show-stopping inauguration gown. Apparently, when Wu was a child, his parents encouraged his love of fashion by taking him to visit—wait for it—bridal salons! Methinks this might explain why season after season, Wu unveils darling wedding-worthy white dresses. Check out some of my top picks from his past few collections.

Would you wear any of these dresses (or something similar) for your big day? What’s your must-read when you’re looking for inspiration? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
