It came as no surprise that Hillary Clinton chose to wear Oscar de la Renta to her daughter's wedding. She is a longtime friend of the designer, who has dressed her for many important occasions including a Vogue 1998 cover, the 1997 Grammy's, her inaugural gown and now at her daughter's own very important day. Instead of taking a more demure approach in grey like grandma, Hillary went for a bright and bold fuchsia gown with life-like florals cascading down the dress.
I am a huge, huge Oscar fan (so no dissing his creation here) and I think the gown suits her age and style very appropriately, but subtle it was not. I give her full points style-wise, but minus for trying to out-style the bride! Do you think she picked an appropriate dress? How important is your mom's outfit at the wedding? Are you going to let her wear whatever she chooses or are you going to help her?
