Henkaa, the Canadian bridal company known for its line of convertible bridesmaid and bridal gowns that fit a range of body sizes, has just launched a breathtaking new Spring/Summer 2019 collection.
We've always been fans of bridesmaids wearing the styles of dresses they feel most comfortable in, and the design of these gowns allows each bridesmaid to create a completely customized look. To add to their seemingly endless roster of wedding-favoured shades, Henkaa has come out with new pastel shades including mint green, sterling grey, apricot coral (perfect for Pantone-approved Living Coral-themed wedding) and dusty rose.
Our favourite detail they've added to their collection? The rose gold sequin overlay skirt, which can be added or removed from the Sakura style convertible dress. "The romantic Sakura can be easily styled in over 60 ways with flexible sizing to fit up to size 24," says Sonia Dong, the managing director of Henkaa.
"Regardless of whether you go up or down in size—or you’re in the final stretch of your third trimester—this convertible dress will beautifully, and comfortably, wrap itself around you," says Michelle Leroux of White Rabbit Events.
Brides who want to keep the bridal style close to home and who love supporting local brands will be happy to know that Henkaa is designed and manufactured in Toronto. That means locals don't have to worry about lengthy shipping from out of province.
To highlight the versatility and new elements of the gowns, Audrey Mills photographed Henkaa's new pieces in a gorgeous styled shoot at the Lucas House at Country Heritage Park in Milton, Ontario.
