A gorge, wedding-friendly Obakki dress.
I love this picture of recent Vancouver bride Carla Benzan and her groom Bill Matthews (below, snapped by Tofino-based photographer Micheal Farrow), where’s she’s wearing the chic draped skirt sleeveless dress in grey by Obakki pictured above. A little bit about the label: it was founded by Treana Peake, creative director, and is an edgy, eclectic line that recently won the Govenor General’s award honouring its innovated and contemporary design. Peake’s designs are causal and chic and her line of dresses are a particular standout. The flagship Obakki store is located in Vancouver, but the designs are sold around the world. Best news for you is that you can shop and buy the entire collection on line! Another great think about Obakki is that this is a company that gives back. The Obakki Foundation supports humanitarian causes by finding and nourishing creativity in all pockets of the world. Through sales of their line, Obakki has done some amazing things—we’re all about paying it forward. If you are looking to wear Canadian on your wedding day, and perhaps a dress that’s far from traditional but oh-so-chic and funky, Obakki could be just the ticket for you.
