"Papillon" by Jenny Packham.
One of my favourite fashionable decades has got to be the 1920s: slinky dresses, feather boas and long strands of pearls...I love it all!
One bridal designer who definitely embodies this style is Jenny Packham. Earlier this week we were on set shooting for our next issue, Spring & Summer 2010, and several of Packham's glorious gowns made the cut. Want to see a sneak peek? Follow us on Twitter where Alison uploaded a couple of behind-the-scenes snapshots. Otherwise, I can certainly disclose that one of the looks in particular reminded me of Art Deco artist Tamara de Lempicka's work.
Perhaps the most impressive thing about Lempicka's "Portrait of Mrs. Allan Bott" (pictured) is that this ensemble would be perfectly at home on a modern bride like you! From the sleek chignon to the slightly ruffled skirt and the sexy, green T-strap heels, I couldn't have styled it better myself! What do you think of this look? Are you a fan of svelte sheath dresses or do you prefer a little more volume? As always, I want to hear all about your dream dress.
