Find Your Perfect Pair of Wedding Day Shoes in 5 Easy Steps

Find Your Perfect Pair of Wedding Day Shoes in 5 Easy Steps

You've finally found your dream wedding dress, and now you need a pair of shoes that are stylish and comfortable, too. Read these 5 tips before hitting the shops and we guarantee your Cinderella moment will go smoothly!

1. CONSIDER YOUR VENUE.

When shopping for your perfect pair it's important to keep your celebration space in mind. For instance, serious stilettos probably aren't the best match for a beachside ceremony---flat sandals might be a better fit. Likewise, heels can be problematic on green grass (you don't want to get stuck in the lawn!), so pick wedges if your wedding is outdoors.

2. KNOW YOUR COMFORT ZONE.

Those 5-inch platform pumps might look super-sexy in the window, but how are you going to manage in real life? If kitten heels are more your speed now is not the time to experiment with sky-high stilettos. Stick to a shoe style and heel height that you have worn before. You want to be comfortable and in command during your walk down the aisle, not teetering and tripping!

3. TAKE A RISK.

When it comes to wedding shoes, there really are no rules anymore. Pick white satin or black patent leather or leopard print---whatever your heart desires. We're in love with these sweet and girly Something Bleu shoes complete with glittery bow detail!

4. BREAK THEM IN.

Get to know your wedding shoes before the big day. Wear them around the house, and make sure to scuff up the soles a bit so they're not slippery. Figure out where you might need to wear Band-aids, or whether you need insoles. Your perfect pair should feel like a second skin by the time the big day rolls around.

5. BRING BACK-UP.

When in doubt, pack an extra pair of flats for your wedding reception. Even the most comfortable party heels can start to hurt after countless hours on the dancefloor. We suggest picking up a pretty pair of ballet flats or jazz shoes just in case.
