These two powerhouse bridal fashion brands have come together to launch an exquisite lineup of 21 gowns, and we are obsessed with each and every one of them!
The partnership is true collab between the two labels—Marchesa creative director and co-founder Georgina Chapman worked closely with Alessandra Rinaudo, chief creative director of Pronovias Group to create the collection. The gowns remain true to Marchesa’s ethereal and glamourous red-carpet aesthetic and feature signature elements like three dimensional floral details and corset bodices.
We joined the two designers on a Zoom for the introduction of the collection and each shared their favourite dress of the moment ("It's impossible to pick just one but I can try," Chapman laughed). Her current favourite is the chic, sleek Esperenza column gown that features floral appliques and miles of dreamy layered fabrics to create the perfect swoosh factor.
Rinaudo's pick is the ultra-romantic India gown which features a corset bodice and a multi-tiered, flared skirt that pays homage to Pronovias' Spanish heritage. Chapman shares she was particularly inspired by Seville for this line and references its cultural sophistication and seductive light and colour, combined with a passionate flamenco backbeat.
The price point for gowns was an important feature of this collection too—it is more accessible than a Marchesa couture gown with prices ranging from $2,000 to $4,000 USD. The collection arrives in stores world-wide in April.
