Montreal-born, London-based designer Erdem Moralioglu is loved for his romantic, feminine and timeless designs. He’s a favourite of Carrie Mulligan, Lily James, Nicole Kidman and the Duchess of Cambridge. His dresses have also been a fashionable choice for brides for many years who have worn his ready-to-wear collection down the aisle. Much to our delight, Erdem has just launched his first formal bridal offering which is known quite simply as the White Collection.
The White Collection features seven stunning dresses and a stylishly curated collection of accessories and jewelry perfect for the modern bride. Gowns are romantic, unfussy, easy and breezy (there’s an eyelet shirtdress!) and can be worn again and again as a fabulous little white party dress.
In an interview with Vogue, Erdem shared his vision behind the collection was actually inspired by the new landscape of intimate weddings which have become the norm in the era of COVID-19. “I approached t collection in a much more casual way,” the designer says. “But there’s still a formality to it. I thought how modern would it be to have a cotton wedding dress, but it’s embroidered in Italy with little guipure trims in inserted in? I think when something’s really beautifully designed, it has a permeance—it’s something you keep and pass on to your daughter or someone else.”
