Lace, colour and tailored silhouettes were the star attractions at Enzoani’s Spring 2014 collection, which was presented in a dazzling runway show at Lyon Air Museum in Santa Ana, California.
The show featured an incredible 104 gowns from all of Enzoani’s lines and the wedding gowns showcased were vast and varied, offering something for every style of bride. Some of our particular favourite wedding gowns included a retro-mini dress complete with an open back trimmed with bow details; a sleek sheath and matching cape that was incredibly modern and dramatic; and coloured lace wedding gowns—red, turquoise and grey were the star shades.
Post-show, we spoke with Enzoani designer Kang Chung Lin about the wedding gown collection. He told us this season he was showcasing new, softer silhouettes and experimenting with different ways of draping fabric to create fresh designs. We asked about the inspiration behind the dramatic red lace wedding gowns included in the collection and he told us he wanted to incorporate a multicultural feeling into a few of the wedding gowns.
The other big news unveiled at Enzoani was that they have partnered with the dazzling design duo Badgley Mischka. Famous for their incredibly glamourous and glittery red-carpet worthy wedding gowns, Mark Badgley and James Mischka personally introduced their new collection of bridesmaid dresses and wedding gowns with Enzoani. For bridesmaids, colours included amythyst, Tiffany blue and nudes and styles were sleek and sexy. For wedding gowns, the pair dazzled with 17 new designs—all named after old-school Hollywood starlets—which featured everything from ornate beading and crystals, tulle peplums and voluminous mermaid shapes.
Here are some of our favourite looks from the Spring 2014 collection.
