Dream Steam

Fashion emergencies happen to the best of us, and usually when we're least prepared to deal with them! Such was certainly the case with me when I realized the dress I was planning on wearing for my editor's portrait today was a crinkled, wrinkled mess (it was in a garment bag and fell off the hanger in transport). My saving grace? Our handy office steamer (the Optisteam Professional by T-fal). First of all, let me tell you that I have used a lot of different steamers in my time—most wedding gown samples need some TLC by the time they get on set and using a steamer is the easiest way to get creases out in a hurry—but this machine is my favourite by far. It couldn't be easier to use, heats up in no time at all (60 seconds to be precise) and all the controls are right on the handle. In fact, you might want to have one of these on hand for your big day—because you never know what can happen! Plus, if you're registered at The Bay or Home Outifitters, you can put this puppy on your wish list (and you can thank me when you never have to iron again. EVER). Come to think of it, this just might be the ticket to marital bliss!
