The couture shows in Paris are always an incredible spectacle and an amazing source of bridal inspiration, but it's not very often that the looks could walk right off the runway and down the aisle. However, for Spring 2011, French designer Alexis Mabille featured nine picture-perfect wedding-worthy dresses in his show. I've chosen three of my favourites to share with you, and narrowing the field certainly was difficult. From a chic asymmetrical frock to a dressed up shirtdress to a modern take on the Grecian goddess gown, Mabille included something for every type of bride. Interestingly, I was just reading over at Vogue.com that bridal used to be a bigger part of the couture shows once upon a time. It was quite common for wealthy women to attend the shows with their soon-to-be-married daughters in order to do a little wedding dress shopping. Luckily for you, the Internet makes it easy to see the collections from the comfort of your own home—no plane ticket to Paris required!
