Bridal Market: Oscar de la Renta

It should come as no surprise to any of you that Oscar de la Renta puts on one of the best shows in New York, and his collections are always innovative, inspiring and, simply put, flawless. The Spring 2011 collection, featuring a whopping 32 different looks, was no exception. When the show was over (too soon!), all the guests were filing out into the hall comparing goosebumps, generally swooning and collectively wishing it hadn't come to an end! The gowns were all gorgeous, and they were paired with the perfect accessories: statement necklaces, textured shoes and elegant veils. I've chosen to share a handful of my favourite ensembles with you, and we'll have the complete collection posted in our gown galleries soon. Let's start with this silk organza ruffle gown (look #10). I love that Oscar always manages to reinvent the classics, making a traditional ballgown feel frilly and fresh. Secondly, I'm a sucker for an adorable short gown, and look #22 is at once elegant and playful—a look that's just right for a less-formal wedding. Moving onto look #24: I appreciate the combination of textures (silk gazar and guipure) and the one-shoulder silhouette is definitely the "it look" this season. Next up: look #8. I adore this embroidered organza opera coat, and I highly suggest that all of you fall/winter brides consider some kind of fashionable topper! Last but not least, look #2: a sleek and sophisticated gown with a BIG PINK BOW on the back!!! I may be slightly obsessed with this one...

Which one do you like the most? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
