Modern Trousseau's peaceful showroom was a welcome reprieve from the hustle and bustle of New York's fashion district, and I was thrilled to chill out with designer Callie Tein, sip some champers and see what was new for Spring 2011. I first stumbled upon this line several years ago, and I've been smitten ever since. Tein's use of lace is second to none, and I love her sense of girlish whimsy. While these signatures were both apparent in her latest collection, there were also some new and exciting additions to the line. I've chosen to share a couple of my new favourites with you today. First and foremost, the "Monroe" is a gorgeous soft pink gown in a sexy, curve-hugging silhouette, and although you can't really tell from the picture, the lace on the hem hasn't been trimmed, giving it an interesting, romantic effect. Next up, the "Martine," a stunning, super-girly gown adorned with organza and tulle rosettes. A satin belt adds the perfect pop of purple. Thirdly, the "Ebony" gown shows that black can be soft and feminine for your wedding. The smocked lace on the bodice is absolutely exquisite. This gown is also available in lavender, which I think would be oh so dreamy. Last, but certainly not least, the "Caroline" dress, with its metallic lace and clean lines definitely caught my eye. Plus, the flowers on the belt are detachable, so you can have two looks in one!
