WHAT: CND Shellac (in-salon service from $50).

WHY: Believe the hype on this one: gel nail colour that really does stay flawless for 14 days. Shellac gives nails a super-shiny finish and the colour will grow out before the colour ever chips. Shellac is like a traditional manicure except that nails are painted with a gel lacquer and cured under a UV light which means there is zero drying time. Launched last year, the service has been wildly successful and Shellac just launched a bunch of pretty new shades for spring, colours perfect for your wedding day and your honeymoon. My colour picks: Rosebud, Cocoa and Romantique. I'm currently sporting a Shellac in rich brown Fedora which I adore-a (sorry could not resist!). Try it, you'll love it.
