Birks Signature Designer ESTY Unveils New Collections

This morning I had the pleasure of meeting Birks' signature designer ESTY, who came all the way from her studio in the French Riviera to chat about her newest collections. Admittedly inspired by sea life, which she encounters almost daily on her free-diving explorations, the pieces she creates definitely feel like they've been plucked from the ocean floor. Talking about her designs, she told us the shape and movement of how things grow in nature are the key to her inspiration. The pieces in the Birks Anemone Collection are whimsical, yet feminine. The tiny anemones almost look like flowers. One particular favourite is the sterling silver ring (pictured), which retails for $495. The second collection that is also launching is the Birks Needlefish Collection, which includes a sterling silver wide cuff bracelet, earrings and necklace. This particular line is definitely for a modern modern woman, looking for something unique. Birks does carry many other Esty pieces, including her popular Fan Coral collection and beautiful pieces with pearls. The Anemone Collection is currently in stores, while expect to see the Needlefish Collection hit stores around March.
