Big Celebrity Wedding Weekend

She wore custom Marchesa—can’t wait to see that dress, it will be perfection! Also wed this weekend was comedian Martin Lawrence and longtime love Shamicka Gibbs at a Beverly Hills home. Like Blunt and Kransiniski, Lawrence kept his party fairly low key (for Hollywood wedding standards of course!) with 118 guests who included Denzel Washington and Eddie Murphy. Of course the biggest and most anticipated wedding of the weekend was Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher’s. This golden couple pulled out all the stops with a luxe, traditional celebration for 250 guests at the Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia. Underwood chose a lace Monique Lhuillier confection (perhaps like this one pictured from Lhuillier’s Spring 2011 collection) for her day, accessorized of course with her gorgeous yellow diamond engagement ring. Watch for photos of Carrie and Mike’s day to trickle out over the next week or so and also watch for the couple in and around Ontario once they return from honeymooning—rumour has it they plan to keep homes in Fisher’s native Peterborough and his NHL home Ottawa.
