Bathing Beauty

  |   By Alison McGill

For me, a bath is a daily luxury. The tub is where I seem to solve all the world’s problems, soaking away any stress and worry that have built up during the day. The difference for me between a good bath and a great one is the products I fill my tub with. Typically I love a good sudsy soak, but I just tried some new luxury bath salts that I know are going to be a long-time favourite. India Hicks Island Living Spider Lily Bath Salt ($36, crabtree-evelyn.com) is a blend of Epsom, sea salts and tropical oils that makes my bathroom smell like a Caribbean island and makes my muscles feel like they’ve had a one-hour Lomi Lomi massage.

Bathing Beauty

British born Hicks, an accomplished designer and model (she’s also goddaughter to Prince Charles), recently created the Island Living line in conjunction with Crabtree & Evelyn, and it features seven bath and body products, plus five home collection pieces, all of which are inspired by her current homeland, the beautiful Bahamas. If you are not already a bath lover, pick up a few of India’s treasures, and I guarantee you’ll be a convert—it’s an easy, cost-effective and luxurious way to keep wedding planning stress at bay.
