Rather than presenting a runway show for New York Bridal Fashion Week, this season the team behind Atelier Pronovias decided to showcase an exhibition with models on display in an interactive gallery-like setting. Through the ‘Art of Bridal’, Pronovias artistic director Hervé Moreau aimed to design a collection that allows fashion and art to come together. By showcasing his designs in this one-of-a-kind concept, guests were able to see the intricate artistry and design behind each stunning gown firsthand.
An air of mystique surrounds the collection, visible in the use of detachable sleeves that open up like butterfly wings, or soft flowing capes that drape gently behind the body. Fairy-tale elements of hand painted florals and three dimensional appliques add drama to the exquisitely detailed gowns. Lace panels and peek-a-boo cutouts allow brides to show as much or as little skin as desired on their big day.
With the use of feathers, florals, and delicate embellished lace, Pronovias manages to capture the fantasy that bridal couture is all about. Each hand-crafted gown in this collection will surely inspire countless dreamy weddings.
