Modern elegance is always at the forefront of Alfred Angelo’s pieces, and the designer’s latest bridal collection stays true to this aesthetic. Alfred Angelo’s Fall 2015 line hits all the right notes with pops of drama and colour woven throughout collection. The collection featured autumnal-chic designs and showcased several dark neutral shades, ranging from a grey long-sleeved sheer gown to a striking strapless black top paired with a slate-toned airy skirt. Other colourful looks included an ethereal blush gown with a soft sweetheart neckline and a stunning mauve dress with a bold black floral embroidered top. Apart from these avant-garde designs, the collection also had plenty of classic looks with equally beautiful, traditional silhouettes. Feminine fit-and-flare designs were adorned with beaded shoulder embellishments and crystal accents, while voluminous ball gowns saw the addition of illusion necklines, gleaming intricate beadwork and floral appliques.
Always one to please a bride’s inner princess, Alfred Angelo also included an assortment of Disney-inspired gowns for the collection’s Disney Fairytale Weddings line. Each piece in this line was inspired by Disney’s most popular princesses, both old and new. From a blue, mermaid-fit crystal-encrusted dress reminiscent of The Little Mermaid’s Ariel, to a classic tulle ball gown à la Cinderella, every princess was well represented. But it was Frozen’s Elsa-inspired sheath gown that garnered the most buzz with its exquisitely sculpted pale blue design, complete with silver embellishments and a billowing sheer Watteau train, which flawlessly encapsulated the ice queen look.
