An Alberta Perfume Made Especially For Weddings

  |   By Jean Grant

The concept for Coulombe perfume was sparked after founder Savanna Meyer, a florist from Leduc, Alberta and a serious romantic who married her middle-school sweetheart, wanted to gift a few of her friends a special scent made just for their wedding days—with the idea that whenever they’d catch a whiff of it again, they’d be immediately transported back to the blissful (and hopefully not-at-all stressed) vibes of getting hitched. She ended up creating her own brand-new, paraben-free scent called The Wedding Perfume, which was compounded in France and mixed in Alberta. It’s a perfectly light, fresh floral fragrance with hints of bergamot, jasmine and mimosa blossom, and it comes in keepsake-approved packaging: the inside of the elegant box includes a Van Morrison line, “These are the days,” and the minimalist bottle itself can dress up any makeup shelf for years. You can order it online for $250, or try out a sample for $5.
