A Royal Beauty

  |   By Alison McGill

All the style buzz surrounding the royal wedding has been about what Kate Middelton will wear, but the other key component of her aisle style of course is her beauty look. Kate is a glossy, gorgeous woman who prefers to keep her makeup understated and her mane long and lustrous. Who better to ask for beauty advice about Kate’s wedding look than hair and makeup guru Tony Masciangelo, Weddingbells contributor, owner of Toronto’s The Alcorn salon and newly crowed 2011 Session Hairstylist of the Year.

A Royal Beauty

“I would keep Kate’s skin dewy and use warm, glowing shades to keep her fresh and young,” Tony says. “Because she is a bit edgy, I would give her a smoky eye using golden browns so it’s a little softer looking. For her hair I would definitely put it up, but in a soft ’do. Think soft, shiny waves tousled and pinned to give her an organic but feminine style.”
