A Fragrant Splash

Less foundation; less smudgy kohl liner; and less fragrance. As they say, less really is more especially when it comes to hot weather beauty. On the topic of fragrance specifically, it can be difficult to find just the right summer scent. Something that’s light and bright, but not too zesty or flowery. My pick for summer 2009: Les Colognes Hermès, a trio of splashes that are quite simply delicious. Currently I’m hooked on Eau d’Orange Vert, which is actually an oldie but goody from the Hermès archives, originally launched in 1979. This one is the perfect combo of citrus and wood and is very boho sophisticate. I can’t wait to try the other two colognes, which smell equally divine. Eau de Pamplemousse Rose features grapefruit, rose and vetiver; while and Eau de Gentiane Blanche is slightly headier thanks to with white musk, iris and incense. These scents are ideal for your summer wedding day and your easy, breezy sunshine honeymoon. Sniff them out at Hermès boutiques or Holt Renfrew.
