<strong>About the couple</strong><br /> <br /> <strong>Bride:</strong> Heather Greenwood <br /> <br /> <strong>Groom:</strong> Richard Jones<br /> <br /> <strong>How they met:</strong> "We met in November 2006. Rich was taking an extended holiday from his job at the BBC in London, England to travel Australia and watch the Ashes cricket tournament. I had just completed my bachelors degree in Kinesiology, and was fulfilling my life long dream of visiting new and faraway places," Heather explains. "We met at a hostel where we happened to be placed in the same room and got talking one evening."<br /> <br /> <strong>Engagement story:</strong> “Rich proposed on September 5, 2010 on St. Joseph's Island, near my hometown of Sault Ste Marie. We spent the day sailing with my grandfather and parents and then returned to the house for dinner. Before dinner Rich asked me to take a walk in the bush. Along this walk, Rich got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. A few moments later, as it was all sinking in, we heard my grandfather calling us for dinner by blowing into a conch shell. Upon delivering the good news, we were excused for being late for dinner," Heather says.

<strong>Wedding date:</strong> August 20, 2011<br /> <br /> <strong>Wedding theme:</strong> Laidback rustic elegance<br /> <br /> <strong>Best moment:</strong> "Standing at the alter in the church after Heather had just walked down the aisle. After all the preparations and excitement that morning, it was our first moment to see and be with each other. We held hands and shed the nerves because we were finally together and about to be married," says Richard.<br /> <br /> <strong>Favourite detail:</strong> "The speeches! Each one was absolutely perfect with the right amount of sentiment and humour. There were tears of laughter throughout the room. Since the wedding, it has been the number one thing we get positive comments on," says Heather.<br /> <br /> <strong>Wedding song:</strong> "You Are The Best Thing" by Ray Lamontagne. "We chose this because the lyrics really explain how we feel about each other. We also wanted a song we could have fun dancing to and thought this had the perfect mix of slow and upbeat parts," explains Heather. <br /> <br /> <strong>Honeymoon:</strong> Bartlett Lodge in Algonquin Park
