Courtney and Jason first met online and after a few short chats, they met up for coffee and dessert. “We chatted for hours over crepes and from that moment we couldn’t get enough of each other!” says Courtney.

The couple celebrated their third anniversary in Quebec, enjoying a romantic dinner out and reminiscing on the past three years they had spent together. “When dessert arrived, out came the ring. He said ‘I love you, you know that right?’ I was completely surprised! After he asked, I started to cry and I guess I forgot to say ‘yes.’ So he asked again to which I replied ‘of course!” shares Courtney.

The couple had an intimate and elegant affair at a historic castle, which was designed by Meade Design Group. The castle is known for having peacocks roaming freely on the grounds, and their colourful feathers served as inspiration for the day’s décor. “An air of vintage charm was introduced throughout in elements from the bride’s birdcage veil and the invitations, to the mismatched collection of antique china used in the place settings atop custom lace tablecloths,” describes Ivan Meade, principal designer.

One of the bride’s favourite touches was the arbour that was custom built for the ceremony, which was a surprise gift on the morning of the wedding from the bride’s parents inspired by a photo the bride had pinned on Pinterest of her dream ceremony decor. “I couldn’t believe that my parents cared so much about my fairytale wedding that they made that for us,” says Courtney.
