For their wedding, Ashley and James wanted to give their 160 guests a taste of all four seasons. “We are both very active people, and we love every season. We tried to bring all the best things of each season and incorporate them into our decorations,” Ashley shares. To that end, they decorated each room at the Craigleith Ski Club according to a different time of the year. Ashley’s personal favourite was the winter room, which resembled an après-ski lounge complete with pine cones, antlers and bearskin rugs. “It really felt like the middle of winter in a small log cabin,” Ashley remarks. Another of the bride’s highlights was arriving at the ceremony in a horse and carriage. “I’ve been picturing that moment since I was a little girl,” Ashley explains. “I truly felt like a princess and isn’t that how you’re supposed to feel on your wedding day?”
