Wedding Flowers: How To Work Wildflowers Into Your Wedding Day

We love the look of unbridled wedding flowers with that just-picked look. From bouquets to centrepieces and ceremony arrangements, loose and lovely wildflowers are fresh and fabulous wedding flowers. Thinking about incorporating wildflowers into your wedding flowers? Opt for a larger arrangement, which includes daisies, sunflowers, lilies and natural greenery. You can also try mixing your favourite wildflowers with more traditional wedding blooms such as roses, carnations, chrysanthemums and orchids. Keep in mind that wildflowers look best when incorporated into vibrant multicoloured arrangements, which are gathered together haphazardly and not overly fussed with. Tie your wildflower bouquet together with a natural material like twine or burlap for a cohesive look.

For wildflower centrepieces and other floral decor elements, the same rules apply. What will  make arrangements look extra-rustic is the way they are displayed. Visit antique and thrift stores to find interesting vintage objects for your florist to build your displays in. The more vast and varied the objects are, the more interesting and wild your flowers will look!

To give you some inspiration regarding how to incorporate wildflowers into your wedding flowers, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite images from our Real Weddings. All of these arrangements are fun, fabulous and playful and should help you pull together your own unique arrangements.
