Chocolate Lovers’ Delight

  |   By Roseanne Dela Rosa

Last week I mentioned that we were going to be shooting cakes and flowers for three straight days—which we did. I worked with the most amazing team (Jenn, Cath, Lindsay, Caitlin, Jim, Tony and Tonya). But I think we all OD’d on sweets.

No.

Chocolate Lovers’ Delight

Seriously, in a span of three days I managed to scarf down four cupcakes, 10 truffles (ok, maybe I ate 12) and three macaroons. I’m all for sweet treats, but I have to admit that it was just a bit much. So, back to the dozen truffles from SOMA Chocolate (somachocolate.com) that I ate—they are seriously the best in the city. If you’re down by the distillery area in Toronto, you’ll have to make a pit stop at this chocolate shop. Their flavours, although they sound odd (like balsamic vinaigrette), are simply to die for. For a little spice, try their Mayan Dome, which has a kick of chili in it, or everybody’s fave on-set, the Feulletine Caramel—a chewy but crunchy caramel concoction.
