From the designer: This cake was inspired by my late granny, and I named it after her. Andella is a beautiful five-tiered cake, and I wanted to really play on different textures. The diagonal frill on the bottom adds nice bulk and texture, and then I used a new technique I developed for the gold layer using almonds. I incorporated lace in the cake as well, as it is a staple at most weddings. The flowers are really my favorite part of the cake, and I wanted them ascending past the top tier to add that dramatic effect.
