Cake by Kate Green Cakes in Ottawa, Ontario
From the designer: This cake was inspired by a recent trip to Paris. I love Paris, where even the apartment buildings feel like wedding cakes! The colours were taken from a favourite patisserie. The fondant leaves scattered over the tiers and the gold leaf crown moulding details were taken from the stone and plaster carvings inside and outside of the beautiful buildings. The random and free arrangement of sugar flowers, berries and twigs was inspired by every Parisienne. With the current trend of a loose and bohemian look, I wanted to achieve a similar combination with details inspired by rococo and hedgerow.
