Cake by Cadeaux Bakery in Vancouver
From the designer: “We were inspired by the bygone eras of the early 20th century, by beautiful Art Nouveau illustration, romance and understated elegant affairs. We wanted the overall look to encompass chic, vintage, luxurious and metallic elements. The cake would be perfectly matched with a bride who is looking for a contemporary design with a touch of antiquity. This cake would work equally well in a clean modern urban setting or a more lavish old-world hotel. Our design entails a porcelain smooth white fondant finish adorned with handmade silver sugar flowers reminiscent of antique jeweled brooches and hand-painted organic filigree pattern in tones of grey. Underneath it all lies five layers of cake and four layers of filling created from all-natural ingredients. For us, the outer look of the cake is equally as important as its freshness, quality and flavour.”
