Cake by Alice Sleiman for Renee’s Fine Cakes in Windsor, Ontario
From the designer: “For this particular cake I was inspired by a green cake stand, which is a family heirloom. To me it reflects a lot of what I see in nature–an atmosphere of relaxation, simplicity, harmony, balance and well-being. The white represents a time for change, growth and transformation to pursue new ideas as a bride. This cake would be best-suited for a rustic, country style wedding. With a change in colours, this cake could also apply to a romantic, whimsical, or shabby-chic wedding. To make the decorations for this wedding cake I used gum paste, sugar, and fondant, which in turn make the greatest and most amazing sugar paste flowers.”
