From the designer: This cake was all about contrast. The bride and groom had a very traditional white wedding with small bursts of vibrant red and gold accents throughout. They wanted their cake to fit the same theme, but opposite – with mostly red, and using gold and white accents. Along with the contrasting wedding colours, when you cut into this cake the red tiers were vanilla cake with ice wine lavender buttercream and the white tier with gold brushed is a vibrant red velvet cake cream cheese buttercream.
